End User License Agreement (EULA) for the HomeschoolHQ mobile application on Android and iOS, published by SOZ Exports Pty Ltd. The app is listed on the Apple App Store as HomeschoolHQAPP and on Google Play as HomeschoolHQ; these terms cover both.
Last updated: 2 November 2026 • Effective: 2 November 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and SOZ Exports Pty Ltd (ABN 59 638 660 385), 8 Albert Cres, Balnarring, Victoria 3926, Australia ("we", "us", "our"), covering your use of the HomeschoolHQ mobile application and any content, updates, and features we provide with it (the "app").
By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are using the app on behalf of a household or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use one copy of the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial home-education purposes. This is a licence, not a sale: we and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the app.
On the Apple App Store, this licence is granted on the terms set out in section 11 below. On Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
Everything you enter or create in the app — student profiles, schedules, assignments, reading logs, notes, and photos — is your content. It is stored on your device, not on our systems. You keep all ownership of it, and we claim no licence over it.
Because your content lives only on your device, you are responsible for backing it up. If you lose or reset your device, uninstall the app, or clear its data, that content is gone and we cannot recover it. The app provides an export and backup feature; we recommend you use it regularly.
You are responsible for the content you create, including making sure you have the right to use any photos or material you add.
The app offers an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks full access. The subscription title, length, and current price are shown in the app before you purchase, and in the App Store or Google Play listing.
The app includes general information about home education, including beginner guides for several countries. This material is general information only. It is not legal advice, and it is not a statement of your legal obligations. Home-education requirements differ by country, state, and district, and they change. You are responsible for checking the current requirements with your own education authority, and for keeping whatever records that authority requires.
The app is a planning and record-keeping tool. It does not provide accreditation, certification, assessment, or instruction, and it is not affiliated with any school, education authority, or government body.
We may update the app from time to time to add, change, or remove features, to fix problems, or to keep it working with new operating-system versions. We may also stop distributing or supporting the app. If we discontinue it, we will not charge you for a subscription period that has not started.
The app is designed to work offline. Some functions, such as purchasing or restoring a subscription, need a working internet connection and the relevant app store to be available.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to section 10, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to section 10, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss, or for any loss of data, loss of records, or loss of profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, however caused.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the app is limited to the amount you paid us, or paid through the relevant app store for the app, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded or limited. If you are outside Australia, nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
This section applies where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, and applies in addition to the rest of these Terms. Where the app is licensed to you through the App Store, it is licensed on the terms of Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard Apple EULA), as supplemented by these Terms. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and the standard Apple EULA, the standard Apple EULA prevails.
These Terms apply until terminated. You may end them at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, you must stop using the app and delete it; your on-device content remains yours and under your control until you delete it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and the courts of appeal from them. If you live elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws that apply where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will make it clear in the app or the store listing. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
